Our Hospital & Services

We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to provide care for dogs, cats, and other small pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.) who have urgent, emergent, and critical conditions.  We work with your primary care veterinarian to provide care when they are not available or when your pet needs around the clock treatment. We do not provide vaccines, spays, neuters, dentals, or other wellness care. Timberline Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is located just off I5 in North Seattle and we see animal emergencies from the communities of Shoreline, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Bothell, Kirkland, Bellevue, and the greater Seattle area.

Urgent and Emergency Care

We are staffed and ready to help with pet urgent care and emergency care.  Please call before heading in so we can discuss any stabilization you can do at home and so that we are ready for your arrival.

Surgical Services

Our state-of-the-art surgical suites allow us to provide a wide variety of emergency soft tissue surgical procedures.

Intensive Care Unit

We are well staffed with doctors, technicians, and veterinary assistants specifically trained to care for critically ill and injured animals.  We can provide intravenous fluids, medication, nutrition, oxygen, blood, and other treatments needed.

Radiology and Ultrasound Services

Our on-site, modern X-ray and ultrasound equipment provides high quality imaging to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. We work with several local board certified veterinary radiologists to provide imaging and interpretation.

Electrocardiography and Echocardiology Services

We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists. We are able to stabilize dogs, cats, and other small pets with heart conditions.

Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and coagulation testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals to meet the needs of your pet.

Blood Bank and Transfusion Services

We have a community blood donor program which allows us to have blood products available for dogs and cats in need.  Transfusions may be needed for dogs and cats who have been hit by cars, who need surgery, who have gotten into rat poison, or who have a specific blood disease.
